Alina Anghel
Alina Anghel is a Canadian actress, writer, and producer. She has a dynamic acting talent; playing roles in indie movies, commercials, and Bollywood films alike. Originally born in Europe, Alina has lived and traveled throughout the world and speaks four languages fluently.
Alina started her love affair in acting when she checked off drama as an elective in grade eight and hasn't been able to give it up since. At sixteen, she toured the Lower Mainland in British Columbia as a lead in a co-written play with the Vancouver Youth Theatre. She continued her acting education by attending The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York City. Alina has also trained at Rogue's West Studio, JBA Studios, and with Mel Tuck.
Alina is known for her role as Alice in the award-winning film, Reverie (2017). She also wrote the screenplay for and played the lead of Jay in the film Busy (2016) which screened at The Vancouver Asian Film Festival. Her acting credits include Joe Personman (2017), The Medium (2016), Beyond the Old Road (2017), Channo Kamli Yaar Di (2016), and Persona Non Grata (2017). Alina has also acted in commercials for White Spot, Taste & Circle, and a Nature Valley North American wide TV commercial produced by the global advertising agency, McCann. She was the lead in the music videos Boy If You Don't Stop (2018) directed by Nathan Penner and Say Something(2016) directed by Mike Southworth.
