Sarim Momin
Sarim Momin, pronounced as Saarim Momin, is an Indian filmmaker whose debut feature film, ARZI, won the award for Best Foreign Feature at the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival, along with several other awards. His upcoming work as a director includes ASEQ, a supernatural thriller based in the UK and 'Eerie' a Psychological Genre-Bender.
His work as a writer includes the upcoming movie, 'Crakk', which stars Vidyut Jamwal, Jacqueline Fernandes, Arjun Rampal, and others and is directed by Aditya Datt. His foray into writing web-series was with Hotstar's Karm Yuddh, which ranked among the highest-watched shows of the year.
Sarim has also worked in the past as a lyricist for many popular Bollywood movies, including Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar and Priyadrshan's Bhagam Bhaag, and has worked with music directors like Pritam and Lucky Ali.
He started as an Urdu poet and was one of the youngest Urdu poets in India. He penned the "India" song for the Cricket World Cup 2004. His stint in advertisements for India, the UK, Europe, and the UAE helped him gain a foothold in the industry. Known for his expertise in the thriller genre, from writing films to directing them, Sarim has made a name for himself.
