Ben Sanders
Ben Sanders has spent the majority of his career on stage, performing for 10 years with the internationally-renowned Shaw Festival Ensemble. Notable credits at the Shaw include the world premiere of The Divine by Michel Marc Bouchard (Tom at the Farm, Lilies), the Canadian premiere of The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures (#1 Play of 2015, Globe and Mail) by Tony Kushner (Angels in America, Lincoln), and Edward Bond's The Sea (Best Revival of a Play 2014, Wall Street Journal), along with world premieres by Peter Hinton, Lisa Codrington, and Michael Healey. He also played major roles in classic plays by Bernard Shaw, Somerset Maugham, Terence Rattigan, Mae West, and Caryl Churchill.
In 2015, Now Magazine named Ben as one of the Toronto's Top Ten Theatre Artists.
In 2020, Ben made his television debut with a recurring role on Shaftesbury's hit show Murdoch Mysteries. This promptly led to a substantial recurring part throughout the fourth and final season of Frankie Drake Mysteries as left-wing journalist Steven Reid, love interest to Rebecca Liddiard's Mary Shaw.
