Deeksha Sonalkar
Deeksha Sonalkar, also known as Deeksha Kanwal Sonalkar, was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She was born to a Maharashtrian father, Manoj Sonalkar, and a Punjabi mother, Ramneek Kanwal Sonalkar. She attended Jasudben M. L. School till her 10th Grade followed by Sophia Women's College for her Junior College. She graduated in Bachelor's Of Mass Media from R. D. National College, Mumbai. She is a Classically Trained Dancer in Odissi under the guidance of her mother and Guru Rabindra Atibuddi. In her 10th Grade she auditioned for a part in her school play and that went on to be her first step as an actor. She played the part of Eliza Dolittle in the play My Fair Lady which was based on the book Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw. Thereafter she joined and performed with various theatre groups and finally got her break on television with the series Bani- Ishq Da Kalma on Colors Tv produced my Mystic -The Entertainment Company & Colosseum Media House. She has worked with many big production houses in television and has recently also ventured into doing Web Series.
