Lara Robinson
With an impressive list of credits to her name, Lara is perhaps best known to audiences for her work in the ABC comedy Upper Middle Bogan. This year, Lara has taken a place on the MA Theatre Lab program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London.
Prior feature credits include Knowing, from director Alex Proyas. Working opposite Nicholas Cage and Rose Byrne, Lara played both Byrne's daughter Abby, as well as her mother Lucinda in flashback scenes.
In 2011 Lara played Young Rose in the adaptation of the Tim Winton novel Cloudstreet opposite a stellar cast. It is for this role that Lara was honoured with an AACTA Best Young Actor Award and a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Drama, and an ASTRA award for Best New Talent.
Other credits include City Homicide, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, Winners and Losers, The Doctor Blake Mysteries and ABC/Netflix series Why Are You Like This.
Lara received her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne where she majored in Literature and Theatre Studies as well as Writing for Performance (both theatre and screen). She is also a talented singer and musician with advanced piano skills, and training in dance.
