Rick Herod
This Texas born actor is the only son of parents, H.G. "Guy" Herod and Joyce Marie Fox. Rick was raised and attended schools in Arlington, Texas. Rick showed an interest for entertaining and acting from childhood, singing in talent shows, dancing, and acting in plays. Rick joined the Army after high school and was trained in Army Aviation. He was sent to Europe for his first duty station. After a year in Germany, he volunteered for flying duty in Vietnam. He served with the 101st Airborne Div. A Co. 101st Assault Helicopter Bn. in 1969. He sustained a leg injury late in his tour, and was sent home. When released from the service, he married and had two children. He attended some college, worked different jobs, eventually settling back into aviation work. Rick was divorced in 1988. He married his high school sweetheart in 1992, and remains spoken for to date. Rick's love for entertaining had always remained, and in 1991, with the advice from a friend, and his wife, he made acting his goal as a career. Rick is already credited with an impressive body of work in Film, TV, and commercials, including working alongside Academy Award Winner Billy Bob Thornton in the film "Friday Night Lights", and two time Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner Tom Wilkinson in the film "The Night of the White Pants".
