Anthony Edwards
Anthony Edwards is an NBA player and an actor known for his role in Hustle (2022).
Anthony Edwards was born in Atlanta Georgia on August 5th, 2001. In Edwards's earlier years, he played football for the Atlanta Vikings in the position of quarterback, corner back, and running back. By age 10, he was ranked as a top running backs in the country by Pop Warner, a youth football organization. He later switched his focus from football to basketball. Edwards attended Therrell High School in Atlanta, Georgia, expecting to graduate in the class of 2019. In the beginning of 2017, Edwards transferred over to Holy Spirit Preparatory School to improve his education. In doing so, he was reclassified to graduate in the class of 2020, but after improving his academics, he was reclassified to the class of 2019 in late 2018. Graduating, Edwards was a top basketball prospect. Edwards attended Georgetown in Georgia where he majored in marketing and played basketball. In March, 2020, he declared for the NBA draft and forwent his college basketball eligibility by signing with an agent. Edwards was selected number 1 by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2020 NBA draft.
Edwards went on to score the most points ever by a player in a NBA playoff series before the age of 21 in the 2022 Minnesota-Memphis first round match-up. Edwards had the 2nd most 40+ point games out of any player before the age of 21, only behind Lebron James.
