Billy O'Brien
Billy O'Brien is a BAFTA nominated director and screen writer. His most recent film is I Am Not A Serial Killer released by IFC in North America. It was nominated for 3 BIFA (British Independent Film Awards) Including adapted screenplay. It stars Christopher Lloyd, Max Records and Laura Fraser. His first feature was Isolation produced by Film Four, Screen Ireland and Lionsgate with Ruth Negga, Sean Harris, Essie Davis and John Lynch. It won Best Director and Best Film at Fantastic Fest and many more awards.
Billy has written screenplays for Bad Robot, Paramount, Film Four, Working Title, Screen Ireland and many more.
He has directed commercials, music promos and short films all over the world.
Born in County Cork, Ireland, after Art School in Limerick, he studied film at Dun Laoghaire College of Art and Design (now IADT) and received an MA at The Royal College of Art in London.
He lives on Dartmoor in South West England with his family.
