Chad Heffelfinger
The Twindividuals, aka Chad Heffelfinger and Cody Heffelfinger, are identical twins, born in 1990, and raised in Portland, Oregon. Cody and Chad grew up acting on camera and performing on stage, singing in the choir, and making movies with their family camcorders, encompassing their love for genre films.
In 2013, they moved to Los Angeles to pursue a dream of filmmaking. After receiving internships at Blumhouse Productions, the two were quickly hired into the company, Chad moving into production, and Cody into finance.
Chad's journey continued in production for a few years, climbing the ladder, working on various films ranging from GET OUT to SUICIDE SQUAD to HOTEL ARTEMIS. From HOTEL ARTEMIS, ready to learn another side of the industry, Chad moved on to an EA and development position, for Ink Factory Films, working under Stephen Cornwell and Michele Wolkoff.
Cody's role as Manager of production finance at Blumhouse allowed him a strong grasp of the inner-workings of film financing, budgeting, and money management in the Blumhouse low budget model, which has been immensely helpful in the creative process. Through his 6 years at Blumhouse, Cody worked closely with the post- production department, legal department, and under the head of production, Jeanette Volturno, CFO Josh Small, and company President Charles Layton.
In 2020, right before the pandemic, The Twindividuals agreed it was time to leave their respective day jobs to pursue their creative craft. During the past three years, they have compiled a portfolio of strong feature screenplays in the genre space, and have filmed several short films showcasing their versatility as filmmakers and knowledge for low budget entertainment, in roles both in-front and behind the camera. Their anthology feature, SPOOKY+ sits on several streaming platforms, and their vampiric satire, BIFF THE HUMAN SLAYER, streams on Youtube.
The Twindividuals aspire to create stories which engross audience members in entertaining and captivating utopic worlds. They have a plethora of stories to share, including an expansive Rowling-esque universe. Recent directorial inspirations are Jordan Peele and The Daniels.
