Sophie Bloor
Sophie Bloor is an actor and playwright from Ilkeston. A small town between Nottingham and Derby. She studied at RADA and The London School of Method Acting, alongside being a member of the BAFTA award winning Television Workshop, Soho Theatre's Comedy Lab and The National Youth Theatre.
Sophie has just finished filming Charlotte, one of the eight female leads in The York Witches Society with MSR Media and a second lead role in £5 Entry, a BBC New Creatives film being released later this year. The Horror, The Horror, a short staring Sophie as part of the BFI Network X BAFTA Crew, won best short at New York Short Film Festival and was qualified for the official selection in Carmarthen Bay Film Festival 2021. While rehearsing for Cocky and The Tardigrades, Brighton Theatre, Sophie was also filming a new feature film, The Return of Jack Frost with Jagged Edge Productions.
Alongside film, she has already worked extensively in voice over and can be heard in Sky's Landscapers, starring Olivia Coleman, Vicky McClure's Without Sin and adverts for The Guardian's Life Skills Scheme.
