Daniel Malik
Daniel Malik is a Canadian actor. He received notice amongst a wide audience playing a role in what would be his first major film experience The VVitch: A New-England Folktale (2015), directed by Robert Eggers, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. This also earned Daniel a nomination for best villain at the Seattle Film Critics Awards. Daniel followed up with an appearance on the SyFy Channel hit series The Expanse (2015), fans of the show campaigned for his character to return the following season and it has said to be in talks among the show's writers. His recent appearances include Condor (2018), The Handmaid's Tale (2017) and Ransom (2017).
Daniel admits that it was his active childhood which sparked his initial interest in performing. Daniel was involved in several accidents naturally leading to many visits to the hospital. It was here that he would watch hours of movies available from the hospital's library and acted out scenes for the nurses. Never really succeeding academically, and finding it difficult to respect his parents wishes of becoming a doctor, Daniel considered dropping out of high school. It was his high school drama teacher who pulled him aside and urged he at least take drama seriously as he showed promising talent.
Daniel is rumored to be producing his own feature film.
When Daniel is not acting, he enjoys cooking and follows the likes of his favorite chefs, learning new styles and recipes further developing his culinary skills.
