Amit Sadh
Amit Sadh, born on 5 June 1979, is a well-known Indian actor. He started his acting career on television and was an instant hit with the masses for his lead role in Kyun Hota Hai Pyarrr, an Indian television teen drama which originally aired on Star Plus, from 1 August 2002 to 22 July 2004. He soon realized his love for films and the potential to make a mark in the Indian film industry. To master his craft, he joined The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Upon his return, he landed an important role in the film Kai Po Che! (2013), where he played one of the three main lead characters of Omkar Shashtri, which garnered him a lot of appreciation and paved the way for his journey ahead.
There was no looking back for him thereon. Having done several films like Guddu Rangeela, Sultan, Running Shaadi and Sarkar 3, Amit is now known for the versatility he brings to his roles.
His 2018 release Gold is based on the Berlin Olympics in 1936 when the Indian team played the hockey finals against Germany was a box office hit. Amit played the role of Raghubir Pratap Singh, a character inspired by K. D. Singh
The same year, he made his digital debut with the Amazon Prime Original series, Breathe as Inspector Kabir Sawant in the web series Breathe on Amazon Prime, and reprized his role in Breathe: Into the Shadows. In 2020, he played the role of Major Videep Singh in Avrodh: The Siege Within, which was a fictionalized retelling of the 2016 Uri attack and the following surgical strikes. In addition, he excelled in the role of retired Indian Army special forces officer Major Deependra Singh Sengar in Jeet Ki Zid on Zee5.
