Jenique Hendrix was born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa. She found her deep love for acting and the arts at a young age, when she started performing in church productions. She would always watch movies with her friends and cousins and have everyone reenact what they had just watched. To them it was a game, to her it was an actual production. She'd cut up her mom's towels and sheets to remake costumes, and created props from anything she could find. She was blessed with a single mom who witnessed this potential and placed her in The National School of The Arts in Johannesburg. Two years later she would immigrate to the United States and graduate from The School of The Arts in Rochester NY. She earned a B.F.A in fashion design and marketing, and got right back to her love for acting upon graduation. Within 3 years of consistent acting classes, and pushing in the industry she booked her first feature - Mile 22 2018 (directed by Peter Berg, starring Mark Wahlberg and Lauren Cohan). A supporting role that granted her the privilege of working by the side of the great John Malkovich. She recently starred in the final season of The Walking Dead (2022 - S11E13) as the warrior woman, Hart. This is only the beginning for her, keep your eyes peeled for more to come!
