Nikelola Balogun

Nikelola Balogun (pronounced Knee-Kay-Low-Lah) is an American actress, born to an American mother and Nigerian father. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Nikelola was very active at an early age, participating in various activities such as ballet, being on the swim team and later pursuing Track & Field which earned her a full track scholarship at Tulane University. After University, she received her Associates degree in Fashion Design at FIDM in Los Angeles and her passion for travel and the arts took her to NYC where she worked as a design assistant for 4 years. After working in fashion for a while, Nikelola felt she needed an artistic shift and in 2008 she left the fashion industry to pursue acting, landing her first acting "gig" performing at a children's Theatre Company at the Bronx Zoo. After working at the Bronx zoo a few years, she had later had the pleasure of joining the cast at George Street Playhouse children's theatre ensemble, touring NJ for a year performing in shows dealing with conflict resolution. Nikelola acting career got its start in NYC, however her travel curiosities led further East to pursue her career in Seoul, Korea. And in 2010, she move to Seoul, Korea to direct musicals in English and also landed her first film International short film, Saved. Korea is where she resided for 7 years appearing in several film projects and commercials. When Nikelola is not acting, she enjoys circus arts, acrobatics and is currently working on becoming a contortionist.
