Sonia Vigneault
Sonia was born and raised in Ottawa Gatineau and learned both french and english at a very young age. She moved to Montreal and started training with the most prestigious acting teachers in Quebec to pursue her dream to become a actor. She has since starred in more than 50 productions in major roles in Canadian, Quebec and American films and TV séries. Recent credits to her name include DISTRICT 31, UNITÉ 9, MÉMOIRES VIVES and UNE AUTRE HISTOIRE just to name a few. She has garnered 7 Supporting Actress Gemini nominations for her portrayal of Helena Beauchamps in the hugely popular series PROVIDENCE for CBC. Earlier work include guest starring in two episodes of THE SECRET ADVENTURES OF JULES VERNE created by Gavin Scott for CBS television and directed by award winning director Jean Marc Vallée. In 2016, Sonia also had the privilege to feature in acclaimed director Denis Villeneuve film ARRIVAL as Doctor J. Bydwell. Most recently, she was casted in A MOODY CHRISTMAS the pilote, produced by Tad Quill for CBS ,directed by Bob Fisher and Rob Greenberg.
