Rene Moran

Rene Moran, also known as Daniel, grew up in Orlando, Florida. He would end up relocating to Los Angeles, California where he moved in to live with his beloved aunt. While adjusting to his new environment he was introduced to the entertainment industry. It was at this point when Rene would discover his passion for the arts, introducing him to a new chapter in his life. This new exciting chapter involved extensive training in a variety of acting techniques. Eager to put his training to use, Rene got his start in the commercial world, booking multiple national spots for companies such as Nike, Ford, and Miller Lite, just to name a few. Rene is best know for his role as "Amo Cortez" in the 20th Century Fox feature film STUBER, directed by Michael Dowse, performing opposite Dave Bautista and Kumail Nanjiani (2019). His most recent film credit was the role of Victor in the David Ayer directed film, THE TAX COLLECTOR, starring opposite Shia LaBeouf (2020). Prior to this, he was known for his stand out performance as "Ben Carter" on the fourth season of Shonda Rhimes ABC hit show, HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (2018). For his first television credit, he portrayed a beloved fan favorite character named "Nacho" for the ABC Family hit series, SWITCHED AT BIRTH (2015). This character would go on to a recur. Previously, Rene starred as "Jose" opposite Micheal Peña and Dax Shepard in the Warner Bros. comedy feature film CHIPS (2017). In addition, he recurred as "Oscar Pineto" on Amazon Prime's top-rated show BOSCH (2019) and also recurred as "Jairo" in season four of SHOWTIME's award winning comedy-drama series SHAMELESS, executive produced by John Wells (2014). Rene is fluent in Spanish and English. He loves being outdoors and exploring remote destinations, both local and far. His dedication to the craft comes from his passion to continue to evolve as an artist and when not working enjoys spending time with his family and close friends. A life that would not be complete without his pup Kobe.
