Lisha Wheeler
Lisha Wheeler is an American actress who was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She began her performing career in kindergarten when she led the class graduation ceremony in showcasing what they had learned that year, including how to spell Mississippi. Lisha went on to perform in several plays in her elementary and high school days, where she played the lead role of Winnie the Pooh, in one of the school's productions. While a student at Duke University, she continued her interest in acting by taking classes and performing leading roles in several student productions, including Lorraine Hansberry's, A Raisin in the Sun, and Switchboard, a student written play. In its review of Switchboard, the Chronicle, Duke's student newspaper, raved about Lisha's performance: "Lisha Wheeler, as Lottie, the power-thirsty receptionist, was stellar. Her tone in paging employees, for example, accented by a high pitched, drawn-out, 'Come to the office, puleeeeze,' had the audience in fits of laughter." After graduating Duke University with a degree in accounting, Lisha went on to Duke's law school. Her decision to attend law school sprang from her love of the Perry Mason show. She was a successful corporate attorney for many years, having served as a partner in one of the largest law firms in the Country and as Associate General Counsel for Fannie Mae. In 2015, she decided to return to her true love, acting. She has had supporting roles in several independent films and co-star roles in TV series, including Preacher, NCIS New Orleans and Your Worst Nightmare. Look for her in the upcoming season finale of The Purge and in the film, The Lovebirds (2020).
