Kenneth Fok

After establishing himself on local small and big screens, South African actor Kenneth Fok has worked his way into roles reaching a mainstream audience worldwide in Safe House (2012) and Eye in the Sky (2016). His versatility has led him to performances with William H. Macy in The Deal (2008), and several major films including The Dark Tower (2017) with Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey, and Tomb Raider (2018) starring Alicia Vikander. Whilst still working on homegrown projects playing the formidable villain Chang in Night Drive (2010) and Wei in the critically acclaimed Five Fingers for Marseilles (2018), he has acted in a wide range of television series ranging from: crime thriller Homeland (2014), drama The Looming Tower (2018), and the martial arts action Warrior (2019) with Justin Lin producing. He also plays Lionel in his second collaboration with Matthew McConaughey, and Anne Hathaway in Serenity (2018), and teams up with Megan Fox in the military action Rogue (2020). Son of a vegetable farmer and housewife and the youngest of seven siblings, Kenneth was born on May 21, 1974 in Germiston, Johannesburg. After turning down the opportunity to partake in the family business, he studied acting then moved to London where he landed a role as an extra on the Bond movie Die Another Day (2002). After his return he made his theatre debut playing four different characters in the successful stage play Macbeki, with the well-known South African icon Pieter-Dirk Uys. He also tried his luck in the long running local magazine programme Top Billing for their new Presenter Search Competition beating 8000 hopefuls and making it to the top four.
