Rhoda Griffis
Rhoda has been Acting onstage since the age of 7. The youngest of 3 girls growing up in a small NC town, Rhoda adored theatre, singing, ballet, tap and making people laugh. Numerous High School and Community theatre shows led her to UNCSA at 16 where she realized her destiny. Earning a BFA from UNCSA and moving to NYC, Rhoda married to her college classmate/soulmate & they decided to move south after a few years to start a Theatre Company while working on TV/Film projects. LOVE FIELD playing Jacqueline Kennedy proved to be just the beginning of a lifetime career as a "Character Actor." Other memorable roles followed: WALK THE LINE, ROAD TRIP, THE BLIND SIDE, RUNAWAY JURY...to present day JUST MERCY, THE BANKER and CHARMING THE HEARTS OF MEN to make up a career of over 150 projects! TV audiences recognize Rhoda as Lenore Baker-Lifetime's ARMY WIVES and attorney Paula Dewey-Lifetime's DROP DEAD DIVA. Oddly, Rhoda plays the arrogant "Be-Atch" beautifully but as a human being is open, fun-loving and kind. Ms. Griffis loves to "charge her batteries" in the theatre where she has conquered such roles as Lady MacBeth, Lady Anne and leading roles in Angels in America, Proof, Intimate Apparel, Collected Stories, Dinner with Friends, Tally's Folly, The Good Doctor. Rhoda Griffis enjoys every aspect of her career and continues to realize just how lucky to be an actor.
