Barb Mitchell
Film, TV, theatre, improv & voice actress based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Known for Damnation, The Reckoning, Merry In Laws, Haunting Melissa, Dark Hearts, Lost Holiday & iZombie. For over 20 years she worked as a news reporter/anchor, writer/producer, national correspondent and morning show host. Turning to acting full-time at age 42, she honed her skills on the stage in Shakespearean classics like Richard III(Queen Margaret), Titus Andronicus(Queen Tamora), Romeo & Juliet(Lady Capulet) and Macbeth(Witch) plus dramatic productions of The Old Neighbourhood(Jolly), Dinner with Friends(Karen), Heaven(Judy Garson), Habitat(Janet Grant) and The Graduate(Mrs. Robinson). She enjoys musical theatre having performed in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Nunsense. Barb is a member of the ensemble of Loose Moose Theatre improvisation group, Dirty Laundry improv group and has performed sketch comedy with The Late Late Breakfast Show. She is married with three children.
