Anthony Oseyemi
Anthony Oseyemi started his career on stage as part of Lewisham youth theatre before turning professional with performances at the riverside as part of the London International Festival of Theatre. With other professional performances at the Tricycle theatre and the Albany with Project Phakama. Played the lead in James Baldwins 'The Amen Corner' and again returning as producer and actor with Multi media production 'Performance'. Promenade performances at the Horniman Museum & Gardens of Shakespeare's 'A midsummer nights dream'. With a theatre and performing arts training background and a BA Performing arts degree, he's had lead roles in series such 'Jacobs cross', 'Room 9', 'Traffick' as well as 'Isidingo'.
Early television appearances include 'The Bill', 'Holby City' and 'is Harry on the Boat', most recent cinema appearances in feature films are the 'Five Fingers for Marseille' and the Romantic comedy with Simon Pegg 'Hectors search for happiness', while also doing action flick 'Seal Team 8' alongside Tom Sizemore finishing off with the cooperate thriller 'The assignment'.
Other television performances include, 'Wild at heart', 'The runaway', 'Strike back', and 'The Book of Negroes'.
Anthony set up Antagonists studios with Oscar Barby, where they have established a strong stable television and film slate. In development in 2017 is a fantasy drama television series '100 Years to Go' set in Ancient Africa which centers around a prominent dynasty in the era, and how it fell, other projects include animation trilogy set in three different time periods of human evolution.
Other highlights include writing on South African television series 'Tempy Pushas', on SABC 1, followed up with a South African Film and Television Awards Nomination 2014 as part of the writing team, and as a lead cast Member on 'Room 9' for best new series. Work on the follow up Album to 'Load Shedding' has begun and he's down to his final tracks for the album, a double EP live acoustic, and Studio produced offering. The Album is titled as 'Forgotten Frequency'. Essentially he describes his process as that of a storyteller whether it is an on-screen performance, a musical one or a written concept. Every part of it is a story the opening melody line and character response all do the same thing they create the narrative. 'It's still standing around the fire there are just more mediums available to share the vision'.
