Jon Edwin Wright
Jon Edwin Wright grew up in Central California and remembers the thrill of performing onstage in front of his peers from the time he was in grade school. Given the opportunity to work on his craft, Jon made the most of it after college by supporting himself in the modeling industry in cities around the globe (ie Paris, Milan, Madrid, Vienna, London, Hamburg, Tokyo, etc) while auditioning for roles in film and TV. Jon eventually relocated to NYC where he worked a number of jobs while taking acting classes. Jon then took a break from acting to return to graduate school to pursue a Masters degree in Geosciences at Mississippi State University. After finishing his studies, Jon spent a couple of years working as an Assistant Professor of Meteorology at Jackson State University (MS) as well as a TV Weathecaster at the local NBC affiliate (WLBT-TV). Jon finally returned to CA and rediscovered his love for acting while proceeding to build his resume with assignments that included a lead role in an Off-Broadway play ("The Bystander"); a role in an indie film where he was able to display his proficiency in Italian ("The Tiger and the Eagle"); a small role as a TV Reporter in the acclaimed film "Hidden Figures"; and most recently, a lead role in "The Perception" where he plays the troubled novelist Richard Sykes.
