Marshall Cook
Born in Santa Rosa, California, Marshall spent much of his youth making videos, acting, working landscape construction and playing football - he acted in theater like his mother and was a quarterback like his father. This continued into Occidental College, Los Angeles, where he played quarterback for the Tigers and graduated with a degree in Film and New Media Production, minoring in Theater. Marshall has since worked on various mediums in front of and behind the camera. When he was 27, he directed, co-wrote, produced, edited and starred in his first ultra low budget feature film, Division III: Football's Finest. The movie was distributed by Image Entertainment on VOD, Netflix, Showtime and all digital platforms. Hoping to make an actual living as a director, Marshall started competing in commercial competitions on the crowdsourced studio, Tongal.com. In his first year, he was the first to be awarded "Tongaler of the Year" and later inducted into their "Hall of Fame." He has directed, written and produced over sixty commercials (for broadcast and digital) with producing partner Tyler A. Hawes, through their production company, Convoy Entertainment. Marshall continues to write/develop features and series while working directly with brands on broadcast and digital campaigns. His recent work includes a short film, "Follow Me," optioned by eOne Entertainment, a recurring role on season 3 of Goliath, broadcast commercials, and his second feature film as a director/writer/producer, "Film Fest."
