Brittany Benjamin
Brittany Benjamin has an extensive background in the performing arts including acting, singing, and dancing. She began attending a dance academy at age 3 and trained in tap, jazz and ballet as well as joining and becoming captain of a dance team competing nationally through out high school. She has trained extensively in vocal performance, stage and on-camera acting, and voice over with incredible teachers such as Shirley Venard and John Paul Gamoke. She studied Theatre Arts Acting at the University of Minnesota and received her Bachelor of Arts.
Brittany was the lead singer in an all original rock band touring mostly in the Midwest, and co-wrote many of the songs on the bands album "Surround" released and produced by Karl Demer.
Brittany grew up in Green Bay, WI and raised by her mom, a nurse, and her dad who worked for the city's paper company. She resides in the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area and continues her career acting and singing professionally, while raising her four children. She is married to the former Director of Photography Nick Deutsch of Generation Mason (2005) and Pond Hockey (2008).
In 2010 she played Jessica Williams in The Scientist (2010) a feature film starring along side actors Bill Sage, Adam LeFevre, and Jamie Elman and directed by Zach LeBeau. It was during this film she realized her true passion had developed in film. Brittany has a continued and constantly renewed passion for on-camera acting and a true love of film. She began writing, and directing her own projects and continues to create. She is particularly fond of immersing herself into story driven independent film produced and created by talented and ambitious individuals with an honest connection to the art of film making.
