Tall, handsome Texan film and television up and comer Michael Patrick Lane most recently starred in the Emmy nominated film, Rekindling Christmas. Known for his memorable performances as good guy gone bad Ted Dinard in CW/Netflix's Dynasty and the hard ass with a heart of gold Earle Hutchins in CMT's Sun Records, Michael's resume continues to grow. Born in College Station, Texas he's the oldest of two. His mother is an elementary school teacher and father, a retired courier. Michael and his brother spent most of their childhood heavily involved in the theater and sports. At 12 years of age he became a Junior Nationalist swimmer and had performed in 30 shows. By age 17 he was an award winning stage actor with over 100 regional shows under his belt and was ranked top 5 in the entire state of Texas as a Bass II in choir, winning him multiple scholarships and the highly coveted spot as an All-State Choir member. In his early 20's he made the decision to pursue his dreams professionally and trained with Kathryn Gately at Northern Illinois University which then led him to New York City where he continued his studies with Anthony Abeson, Cay Michael Patten and The Barrow Group. After several years of the NYC theater scene and smaller roles on TV such as NBC's The Blacklist, Michael got his first break booking the supporting lead role of Earle Hutchins in Sun Records directed by Oscar nominated Roland Joffe and Emmy winning producer Lesly Greif. Michael currently lives in Los Angeles and Atlanta working as an actor both here in the states and internationally. He just wrapped a leading role opposite Gary Dourdan and Robert Knepper in The Moderator, filmed in Morocco. This is his second collaboration with H-Films after the success of their first film together, Paramount Pictures Redemption Day with Andy Garcia.
