Cosmin Dominte
Cosmin Dominte a.k.a. JAZZ 8 is a multi-faceted artist of Romanian origins. He is an actor, a musician, a writer and a slam poetry champion.
He graduated from The National University of Theatre and Film in Bucharest (U.N.A.T.C) and became a full-fledged actor. His work on screen both locally and internationally ranges from independent shorts to full blown Hollywood productions and it also includes TV series, commercials and music videos. His theatre work ranges from independent plays to big productions at some of the most revered theatres in his country such as The National Theatre and the L.S. Bulandra Theatre, among others.
When it comes to music, he is the founding member of 'SickSound Crew', an independent label and 'urban creative hub' and the founding member, alongside Kent Archie, of the uncommon and original music group known as 'The Bridge Committee'. He has put out multiple albums, alongside the entire crew and the music group and also by himself, with "JaZZoMetric" being considered one of the best and original solo albums within the genre.
Additionally, his status as one of the best slam poetry artists in the world enabled him to develop a viral spoken word video mini-series named #GANDURI (i.e. #THOUGHTS), mixing cold hard reality facts with humor and irony in an attempt to raise awareness about various issues Romanians face in their society.
