Ananya Panday was born on October 30, 1998, in Mumbai, Maharashtra to the actor Chunky Pandey and his wife Bhavna Panday. She is an Indian actress and model who works in Hindi (Bollywood) films. She has one younger sister, Rysa Panday. Before pursuing her acting career, Panday did her schooling at Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Mumbai. Panday made her debut in Bollywood with Punit Malhotra's comedy-romance film Student of the Year 2 (2019) in 2019. The film was produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, starring Tara Sutaria and Tiger Shroff alongside Panday. The film was an average hit at the box office and Ananya emerged as a promising debutant. The actress is also, popularly hailed as the 'Teen sensation of the nation'. Panday has won the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in Student of the Year 2 (2019). At a young age, Panday can be credited for her initiative, "So Positive" which is her digital social responsibility. She made a special appearance as a dancer in Irrfan Khan's last film Angrezi Medium (2020). Panday also starred in Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar, released on December 06, 2019 and next, Khaali Peeli (2020) with Ishaan Khattar, released on October 16, 2020.
