Khiyla Aynne is a 14-year-old Canadian-born triple threat who can be seen starring in the highly anticipated Netflix feature film adaption of Broadway's "13: The Musical" as 'Charlotte'. Produced by Primetime Emmy winner Neil Meron (Chicago, Hairspray) and directed by Tamara Davis (Crossroads, High School Musical: The Series) with Tony Award winner Robert Horn adapting the script from the book he co-wrote with Dan Elish. Three-time Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown, who served as the composer and lyricist on the original Broadway production will also compose new music for the feature. In her darkest role to date Khiyla can be seen as 'Jenny' in the Netflix feature film adaptation of "Nightbooks" directed by David Yarovesky (Brightburn) and based on the J.A. White children's horror-fantasy novel. Khiyla is best known for her role as Series Lead 'Trish' in "Ponysitters Club" a Netflix Original Series that ran for two seasons and included two spin off feature films "Ponysitters Club: Fun at The Fair" and "Ponysitters Club: The Big Sleepover". Produced by Alicia Keys, Khiyla can be seen in the Netflix dance feature film "Work It" alongside Jordan Fisher and Sabrina Carpenter. Khiyla was a Featured Guest (Hip Hop) on CBC Gem's award winning series "The Move lll" starring 9 young performers from across Canada. Khiyla's first on screen appearance came when she performed as a Featured Guest on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in 2017. In 2019 she was invited back to the Warner Brothers Lot as one of Ellen's Little Helpers for her 12 Days of Giveaways. One of Khiyla's most memorable moments to date was performing with Justin Bieber during his song "Children" at the Scotiabank Arena for the "Purpose World Tour". Khiyla is no stranger to performing for large crowds, during the Toronto Maple Leafs "Next Generation" hockey game she was a Live In Arena Host for a crowd of 20,000 people. Khiyla is an avid traveller and has been fortunate to visit Chile, Costa Rica and California to film. With a strong sense of compassion Khiyla enjoys giving back to her community. She helped in leading approximately 3000 participants through a warm up stretch for the Opening Ceremony of the "Great Camp Adventure Walk" to benefit The Hospital for Sick Children. Khiyla's strong love of animals has led her to regularly volunteer her time to read to various types of animals big and small as part of a reading program at her local animal shelter.
