Danny McCarthy
Now based in NYC, actor Danny McCarthy was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, where he attended the Webster Conservatory of Theater Arts before relocating to Chicago to begin his career.
On-screen, Danny is perhaps best known as Special Agent Hale in FOX's hit series Prison Break, and for his featured role in AT&T's 2008 "Dropped Call - The Butcher" commercial, which received a National Gold Award from the American Advertising Federation, and the Cannes Lions TVC Bronze Award, among others. He was also featured as "The Brattender: in Johnsonville Brats' long-running and Effie Award (Silver and Bronze) winning campaign.
In addition to numerous commercials, Danny McCarthy's film and television credits include Stronger, Elvis & Nixon, The Drop, The Express, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Killing Kennedy, The Chicago Code, Chicago Fire, Detroit 1-8-7, ER, Fred Claus, Flags of Our Fathers, Stranger Than Fiction, Derailed, Proof, Boss, Underemployed, Betrayal, Elementary, Chicago Fire, Blue Bloods, Boardwalk Empire, and the upcoming Coen Bros TV series 'The Ballad of Buster Scruggs'.
A longtime company member at Chicago's acclaimed A Red Orchid Theatre, and frequently appearing with Steppenwolf Theater of Chicago, Danny's stage credits also include Annie Baker's 'The Antipodes', and Lucille Lortel Best Play-winner 'The Open House' at Signature Theatre NYC, the world premiere of 'Kill Floor' at Lincoln Center, 'Grace' at Broadway's Cort Theater, and The Iceman Cometh opposite Denzel Washington on Broadway. In 2012 he received a Kevin Kline Award nomination for Best Actor for his work in St. Louis Repertory's 'Circle Mirror Transformation.'
