Nathalie Boltt
Director and actor, Nat Boltt is known for her dynamism, humor and enthusiastic work ethic. A graduate of the Warner Brothers Director's Workshop, she both directs and stars in hit series, Riverdale. Other acting highlights include District 9, BBC's Inspector George Gently, the CBS comedy Happy Together, and the action thriller 24 Hours to Live with Ethan Hawke. She plays a lead role on Ron Howard's series The Astronauts and in Neill Blomkamp's Demonic. Known for her acting range, she is recognized for both comedic and dramatic abilities, is multilingual and proficient in many accents.
Her directorial feature debut, Holy Days, which Boltt adapted for the screen, received support and acclaim from The New Zealand Film Commission, the Writers Guild of New Zealand and Melbourne Film Festival's international Talent Express panel. This arthouse drama, as well as zombie comedy Sweet Child of Mine, are slated for 2023. Her award-winning short films, such as gangster comedy A.T.A.C.K, delicate drama The Silk, and feminist revenge spoof Vajazzle, have earned her a reputation as a talent to watch, while her high-action, stunt-heavy episode of Riverdale shines a light on her as a TV director who delivers.
Boltt is ethnically diverse and well-traveled. Born to a Venezuelan mom and Italian-Swiss dad, she grew up in South Africa, lived in New Zealand, Germany and the UK and resides in North America.
